Featured Volunteer – Heather Murnane
In addition to her two regular pick-ups for AFAC, Heather is always willing to pitch in for other volunteer drivers. There are weeks when she ends up picking up donations from two or even three different places. Heather also helps out at community events through AFAC’s Speaker’s Bureau and with holiday food drives. We are grateful for her cheerful “I can do it” spirit!
Heather says: “I started volunteering with AFAC in January of 2011. I have lived in Arlington for about 7 years now and I love its people, its charm and its quirky personality. Living here has been, and continues to be, a delight. I think it’s important to support your community in any way you can, and, for me, AFAC has been a perfect fit. I have helped out with food drives (those Boy Scouts sure come through!), farmer’s markets, and I am a regular “Night Owl” driver for the Trader Joe’s run. I plan to continue to be an AFAC volunteer for many years to come.”
